We took a couple months off from dog sports to work on our house. The last four weeks we picked up again and have run a number of different sports since then. At the end of August was the large Topeka Cluster where we participated in Obedience, Rally, Barn Hunt, and Conformation. Sunny walked away with a major and CH defeat, Thundyr earned two Rally titles (RI & RA) and a Barn Hunt title (RATN), Grizz earned an Obedience title (CD) and took high in trial (HIT) in preferred obedience, and Myst earned another leg in the Barn Hunt Master class.
Two weeks ago Kenai, Sunny, and Thundyr took a short trip to Iowa to earn their FDC titles (Farm Dog Tests) while Grizz stayed in Kansas and entered his first Scent Work competition. Grizz walked way with legs in all 4 novice elements (containers, interior, exterior, and buried) and new titles in Interiors & Exteriors! He also earned a HIT in the novice division!
Last week, it was announced that Myst earned the Cane Corso Association of America (CCAA) Performance Corso of the Year for 2021. This is a very big accomplishment and we are very proud of her! Additionally, Grizz and Myst earned their CCAA Working Dog Advanced Titles as well!
Finally, this past weekend Eli completed his last legs of FastCAT to earn his BCAT down in Wichita at their first ever FastCAT event and his brother Grizz earned a few more legs towards his RAE title in Kansas City. Stay tuned over the last few months while we continue to compete in various venues across the midwest to finish out a great 2022 year!
